Cellulase

Cellulase is the enzyme responsible for breaking down cellulose, a fiber found in all plants. The enzyme breaks cellulose down into beta-glucose (blood sugar).

Cellulose is poorly digested by humans and without effective enzyme supplementation, cellulose can cause digestive upset and distress. Cellulose is very important for the structure of cell membranes. The food industry has added cellulose to a wide variety of common processed and packaged foods to create thickness, creaminess or positive mouth feel, as well as to increase over all fiber content. Since we natutrally are poor at digesting cellulose, supplementing with a high quality, clinically proven digestive enzyme product, like Fiberrific +enzymes, that contains cellulase enzymes is not only necessary, but also vital for all healthy cells.
