Probiotic Ingredients

Probiotics are difficult ingredients to work with. They tend to have issues being incorporated into products (capsules, tablets, liquids, powders, foods). The vast majority of manufacturers are forced to add “other” ingredients in an attempt to improve taste, texture, shelf life, etc.

Virtually all of these ingredients are nutritionally undesirable, often comprised of or containing fat, lactose, cholesterol, sodium, gluten, flavours, sweeteners or artificial ingredients. In addition these items often decrease the effectiveness of the probiotic itself, so they may help the product taste better but they reduce the overall therapeutic quality.

Fiberrific +probiotic is different. We start with the potent probiotic that is naturally shelf stable. We don't need to add any stabilizers or preservatives to increase shelf life. Other benefits to our probiotic, Lactobacillus sporogenes, is that it has no taste and is readily soluble. There is no need to add any ingredients to improve taste or solubility.
