Probiotic Use
No matter how good a probiotic is, like any supplement or nutrient it can only provide benefits if taken regularly and properly. To ensure daily consumption, dairy companies are pushing dairy “foods” that have been fortified with probiotics. Despite the fact that these products may actually be used daily, they may still have little or no therapeutic benefit.
Most dairy products and yogurts, including those with added probiotic cultures, are good food, but can not match the therapeutic activity of even a moderately good probiotic supplement. They often contain other ingredients (flavour, colour, stabilizers, sweeteners, etc) to make them palatable, preserve freshness, or ease production. Each one of these can interfere with the probiotics activity.
Foods rarely identify the probiotic culture and amount they contain, making it difficult to know if you can achieve a therapeutic dose. Additionally, fresh foods, including dairy products, can lose up to 15 percent of their probiotic bacterial count each day. By the time most consumers get to eat them, they have only a fraction of the activity (and therapeutic potential) it was manufactured with and you are paying for.
Fiberrific + probiotic gives you the best of all worlds. It is easy to take because it can be added to drinks and soft foods without any change to their taste or texture. Simultaneously, it is the naturally stable from of a clinically proven probiotic, Lactobacillus sporogenes. In one simple to use product you are getting the benefit of a clinically proven stable dose and the ease of use of a food that is safe for people of all ages, even children, and yes pets too!
